Nuisance claims can come from on-campus housing, off-campus apartments, or private residences, and they can lead to fines, eviction, or even civil lawsuits.

At Taylor Law Partners, we help UA students and their families navigate nuisance and noise disputes, ensuring your rights are protected and helping you resolve conflicts before they escalate.

  • Outdoor gatherings or events that disturb neighbors
  • Excessive trash or litter after events
  • On-campus noise violations in dorms or Greek housing

Fayetteville City Ordinance

The City of Fayetteville has specific noise regulations:

  • Vehicle Noise: Sound (music) coming from a vehicle at any time should not be heard from a distance greater than 30 feet and plainly audible.
  • Residential & Business Noise: Between the hours of 1 a.m. to 8 a.m., noise coming from a business or residence that can be heard from a distance greater than 150 feet from the business or residence is a violation of the City's noise ordinance.
  • Measurement: Violations at any other time will be determined by a sound meter reading taken from the property line by a certified officer.
